The finials for the Wehrmacht banners featured a shaped frame that encircled the image of the national eagle holding the swastika in its talons. The finial was fastened paralleled to a standard pole for the eagle to look always "forward". The side of the finial featuring the eagle looking to the left is stamped with Paul Casberg`s monogram «РС». The finials for the Kriegsmarine coastal units were identical in design and differed only with golden finish.
