The Minesweeper War Badge or Minesweepers, Sub-Chasers and Escort-Vessel War Badge was authorized in 1940 for seamen and officers of marine troops carrying service on minesweepers and hunters on submarine boats. The badge was awarded for participation in no less that 3 operations, got wound, at least one successful operation, rescue from the sunken in a battle ship, exemplary service during 180 days, service on the mined territories, carrying duties on forwarding during 25 days. The badge featured the explosion of submarine mine encircled by the oak leaves wreath with the interwoven ribbon. The top of the wreath bore the national eagle holding the swastika in talons.
