The portrait of the Prussian King Frederick II depicted on the horse. The image of the king during the times of the Third Reich was idealized by Hitler and propaganda. Frederick the Great was one of the all-German national heroes for merits to Prussia, a symbol of the "German Renaissance" and "Nordic ideal of beauty." The image of Frederick II became widespread in the visual arts and was represented in other areas of culture: movies about the king made a separate line in the movie industry, figurines depicting the king were used as awards.
