The Destroyer War Badge was authorized in 1940 for members of a torpedo boat. The badge was bestowed to members of torpedo boats participating in battles of Narvik, later it was awarded to members of torpedo boats participating in three battles or in 12 marine operations; to the seamen wounded during battle actions or escaped from sunken ships. The badge featured the silvery silhouette of the torpedo boat over a gilded zinc oak leaves wreath and was decorated on the top by the imperial eagle.
