An unadopted pattern of the sabre by Paul Casberg. The pattern abounds with decor that could indicate that the sabre had been designed as a present. The sabre pommel is figured, the grip is wrapped with wire, the crossguard is richly decorated with inherent to Casberg`s style curls ornament, which repeats on the scabbard and the chape. This sketch also demonstrates a quite elegant pattern of the blade ornament.
