In this literary work Benedict Friedlander a German writer, theorist and fighter of the German gay liberation movement narrates about male friendship that makes the basis of all social relations and is inevitably sexual. The spring of such friendship goes back to the antique world, that, in author`s opinion, is the best proof of absolute naturalness of such relations. Each of the illustrations made by Casberg was titled: 1. Broken beauty; 2. Too fat full-fed field mice; 3. Hope for the future; 4. The ascetic spirit.
