In the process of development many organizations of the Third Reich updated their edged weapon. In 1938 a number of organizations adopted new patterns of daggers. Probably in that very period Casberg made many sketches of edged weapons for different organizations. This unadopted sketch might have been intended for Luftwaffe. The crossguard features the eagle, its lowered wings form slightly bent quillon ends. The pommel is conical and is adorned with a relief oak leaves motif. The scabbard fittings feature also oak leaves motif.
