Paul Casberg developed a series of sketches for shooting lanyards, which were awarded to soldiers and non-commissioned officers for outstanding achievements in shooting. This award was introduced on June 29, 1936 and was a cord of twisted aluminum-colored thread with a decorative plate attached to it. Unfortunately, the sketches developed by Casberg were not approved.
